One of the things that irks me is the way that a group of players can run a dungeon/instance/encounter etc and after several hours end up with no reward.
I was running Sewers in Altdorf (Warhammer) with 5 other guildies to gear up for city sieges. At the end of a two hour run, we received one loot drop that any of us could use due to class restrictions. Being BOP means that we can't hand them on to others who might need them.
A simple fix would be to ensure that drops are related to group composition. Or create a Bind on Guild limitation for loot. Gear is bound on equip to members of a guild (must be members for > 30 days at time of pickup).

I like this idea so long as it would only effect group instances/raids. Also, rather than a thirty day minimum for new guildies, seven days would be less infuriating.

I like this idea as well. I hate dice rolls (although it is fun) and BOP. All that work and you can come out with absolutely nothing to show for it. This would def help out Guild inner dependence. I think the only thing BOP is the armor because technically this armor is controlled through your actions down the line. Loot should def be "add-ons" to, an if need be class specified he is right, fixed would be desirable for a group outing.

I agree with that. I really like the idea of Bind on Guild. I played war hammer also, forgot what dungeon I was in, but there was almost no drops for a mage and if you got any you had to be extremely lucky most of the drops if not all where for tank class... I would definitely like to see Moloch's idea in Khaos Wars.
PS: Sorry to bring this topic up again, been like 2 months. Just wanted to voice my opinion about this.

Sounds like a nice idea but it could run into problems for a guild if they have to pug a few of the players in. It could introduce a dispute as to which guild the item would go to.
Having the ability to preset the BOG setting
would be a must so this issue could be agreed too before hand.

<shrug> That issue exists regardless of there being a BoG system.

I don't think we will have to worry about not being able to use an item. Kaos War won't be based on a class system like all the other mmo's out there so I figured any person could use the certain item if they wanted to improve their skills in it.
Maybe looting could be based on a skill system if you have a better proficiency with it then the other people in your group, it could perhaps go to you.
Not too sure how looting could be worked here just creating ideas.
