I guess like 80% of this community has played L2 atleast ONCE(or not)

Anyway for the people who do know what I mean, I realy love the integrated msn messenger of L2.
Is this maybe a good idea for KaosWar?

For the people who dont know what I mean:

In L2(Lineage2) there is an Msn Messenger integrated, its really nice cause you dont need to minimize your game this way and its less lag cause you dont run 2 programs but just 1 :)

PS: Plz I don't know if my english is right if wrote some sentences wrong please correct me, Thank you.

The move towards greater social and awareness tools is a gradual one. The Agency is planning to have web sites for their guild equivalents, SMS notifications of in game events and other such stuff.

The most basic communications tool that people need, however, is a TS/vent equivalent. Hell, don't worry about your own code, jsut provide a server as part of the MMO service.

Well I can't provide a server or anything since I don't have ...

That would be fantastic. Def look into TS/Vent....or something along those lines. MSN messenger. I mostly use xfire tbh. What we need to not have to alt-tab constantly is "window mode". I know some of you hate window mode but I personally love it. Maybe if you can think about auto sizing the window that can be a good idea as well. Hah transparency mode might be a new approach if doable.
If you really do not want to do window mode, try "transparency" mode. My idea is making the games interface transparent so you can view your desktop easily without the hassle of alt-tabbing. I mean this will take coding but shouldn't be too hard. My other idea would be a little far fetched.

Wouldn't that get in the way of playing? I'd prefer having the chat in my ingame chatbox, ALT+Tab isn't so bad.

Alt-Tab does too!! But this would be cooler. It was just a thought of something cool. Sometimes coolness does prevail over how useful something can be. No more ALT TAB GO TRANSPARENT! I mean also in transparent mode you can still see if your getting attacked by a mob or if someone in game is messaging you, so I guess it is more useful than alt-tab can ever be.

Alt-Tabbing out sucks if you have a slow computer.

For many games say for instance the average computer has had trouble alt tabbing if done alot it may FREEZE the players game. The in game messenger sounds pretty cool. I definitely would like that since when I play with my buddies I can talk to them, and then i have Vent running as well talking to guild. In game would be less of hassle. And anyways everything is coming down to making a persons life easier is it not?
