I just found this program, I know its' been out for a while but I found it to be, just awesome.

http://www.chilirec.com/

It's a program that records songs from radio stations. I've managed to record half a million songs atm. And the good thing is that you can then save the songs on your hard drive.

I've always just used download helper it will take music video's pretty much anything if you adjust the settings. Converts flv's to avi mpg or whatever. (firefox plug-in)

Yeah , I used to have that too.
Altough chilirec keeps recording the songs, saves them to a server they provide
and then you can just search for the song you're looking for and download them.
Or add it to your playlist at the site.
They show available stations to record, you choose which ones you'd like to record from, and then it just starts recording the songs.

Is this just basic radio stations or can you take songs from Sirius or XM radio?

Since it's beta right now, they've only been able to use some stations. I think there are somewhat 140 worldwide stations, some stations are really shit though, but meh.

The basic function of the site right now, is that you can use it like a "download" site, search for the songs you want, ad them to the playlist, or download them, of course it requires you to have used it for a while, so that you would have the songs you want. I use this since it's great to use when I am at work.

I really wish they had SI radio. That's basically the only radio I listen to.

Never heard of it, if you find something that can record streaming videos in decent quality let me know.
