Here's how this will work; this topic is meant strictly for question and answer. The discussion goes somewhere else, so as not to confuse people. You can ask or answer any question, so long as it has not been said previously. I will update this first post with questions and answers when I can.

When will Kaos war release?
No exact time is set as of now.

How can I get into the Kaos War beta?!
A beta date has not been currently announced, however, when it is, joining will be done through the home page. By signing up on these forums you become an immediate candidate for beta, and those who are active will be given priority.

I want to know more about the game, where should I look?
Check out the wiki page (courtesy of Jimmy6154, http://www.kwfanatic.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page ) or the forum topic ( http://www.kaoswar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=167 )

Where can I download the game?
There is no download available at this time.

I want to learn more about the developers (SRI), where should I go?
Their main site is http://www.srinteractive.com/web/swf/index.html

Are there any communities I can take part in?
Yes. These forums, http://kaoswar.ning.com/ , and on Xfire the group "Kaos war Cult". The last mentioned is unofficial.

I've heard of a streaming video hosted by someone from SRI, where can I find it?
Damon hosts the stream at http://kaoswar.ning.com/group/kaostv . You can find out when it starts at http://www.kaoswar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=916 .

Is this game pay to play or free to play?
Although this may not be set in stone, presumably there is a free to play area, and additional content is pay to play. The payment method is to be determined.
Who are the moderators of this forum?
Moloch, Jimmy6154 and the community manager Tyen.

Who are the administrators of this forum?
Damon and Will are the active administrators of this forum.

There isn't a forum for new people, and I don't know where to post first. HELP!
The off topic section is your best choice, since the community is very open there. Once familiarized, you can post fluidly.

This is my first time using a forum/I am not acquainted with this forum format, where can I get some help?
You can find the rules and a few tips here: http://www.kaoswar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=569 (courtesy of Tyen)

Where are the Kaos War gameplay videos?

The only current gameplay video can be found here (http://www.games.net/video/originalseries/101721/tech-demo-video-for-kaos-war/) , however please note that this is dated, and kaos war has licensed the Crytech Engine significantly improving graphics. The newest media showcasing the Crytech Engine can be found on the main website which can be found here (http://www.kaoswar.com/forums/../): Click on Media> Screenshots> Underneath the gameplay demo heading.

Where can i find the Kaos War soundtrack?

There are five currently released tracks which can be found here (http://www.kaoswar.ning.com/), scroll down the page and on the left there should be a music player.

Were Kaos War at Techcrunch 50?

Kaos War did indeed attend TC50, they showed a brief gameplay but it was cut short. The recorded video of TC50 is no longer streamed.

I head Kaos War are using an "Agile game development" plan, what is it?

Agile Game Development is the idea that instead of the usual, alpha, beta stages, Kaos War will be released in smalled chunks, the first chunk that will be released is going to be nearly totally based on PvP. This means that the first playbe Kaos War client will be released alot earlier than anticipated.

Also, this development plan is designed to allow the Kaos War users to have greater input.

my recommendation, Call this the Kaos War FAQ, not the "unnoficial faq" ask jimmy to sticky it.

questions that need to be added.

Also change some of your question answers, and question names need revision:

Who are some active mods of this forum?
Damon, Jimmy6154, Will, and Tyen.first Damon and Will are devs, a seperate question would be better for the kaos staff.

And you forgot the original moderator Moloch, admittedly he isnt amazingly active, but still.

sheesh! *wipes forehead*

soz for posting like you said not to, but it is not confusing when other people post, just keep on updating your post and it'll be fine. Admittedly, my post may confuse some of the lesser than average intelligence, but as soon as youve added this ill edit my post.

Good idea making this btw, i was thinking of this the other day.

Oh and a last tip, for the links instead of putting, www.kaoswar.com (http://www.kaoswar.com) type "here (or something)" highlight it, then click on the hyperlink button (the earth with a thing on it). then type in the link and done you have a nice hyperlink like the one here (http://www.kaoswar.com)

Depends what you mean by active. If you mean post a lot regardless of what there is to say ... no.

TBH there hasn't been that much new game related information for a fair while. Techcrunch was interesting in regards to the release model but gave little more than what we already knew. This isn't a criticism, it's an opinion.

The guild I'm in has also been busy dominating a Warhammer Open-RvR server.

I'm on the forums regularly - as I have been for years through the past (3 or 4) iterations - checking the temperature.

Glad to see that you're still alive though, can't blame you for not posting a lot.
