Just thought I would start a post on what people like to visually see on their interfaces during a raid. I've played classes from casters to warriors and they all require different interfaces.

Most people have tgt of tgt.
Ability to assign a Main, 2nd ,3rd, 4th tank with the ability to see their tgt

Clickable icons. For casters, this is huge. To be able to assign a spell like "Heal" to a right click and to just click a raid members name. Makes for easy casting.
One that same note, being able to place icons of everyones health, mana, name on your screen is great for casters.

broadcast Raid announcements

raid leader reports, example;see what zone people are in.

Thats all I can think of now.. anyone else got ideas

I'll say it again, just give us options. Option, options, options.
I'd like to be able to decide whether I see all the status icons for everyone, just for my local group, or none at all.
I'd like to be able to move where my group lists show up and what size they are.

Something I haven't seen (well I have but its cumbersome through a options window) being able to quickly close or englarge individual player's info on my HuD.

So I'm a healer and I'm in group 1. Thats my main focus, but there is also a few other key people for this instance that are in different groups, a couple tanks and maybe a crowd control guy. I want to keep an eye on EVERYone so I don't just close everyone but them, but instead I double click on their icon and it increases their size or prominence by 20% or so. No its easier to keep an eye on specific people across groups while still seeing everyone else as well.

I'm assuming by the assigning tanks you meant Raid Assist? Thats very needed and useful beyond just assigning Tanks. Sometimes you want a DPS person to be directing the damage of everyone while individual tanks hold off different foes so the group can take out one at a time quickly.

that correct, raid assist. Its so key in a high end raid and with hints on raid Boss mobs being tailored to a raid size, thats is even more critical.

Also to see where your agro is on a fight would be sweet. A threat meter of sorts. If I'm a high dps class I really want to be careful to not take agro away from the MT. Though that might be a questionable option as it might give to much info.

Things like dmg reports would be sweet and the ability to export them to a guild webpage. Healing reports such as who healed the most, overhealed, healing per second... etc.

great thoughts.. keep them coming...

oh and I just thought of something else, group management. Being able to drag and drop raid members into different groups is handy

All of the above ideas were functions of the various WoW 3rd party raid UIs. When you're organising a 40 person raid with group composition critical in some fights then they were almost a must. They made the fight much more manageable.
