Alright, the new site looks great but theres a few gripes that i want to get out of the way. And if you guys have nything to say on the new site, say it here.

Right my main gripe is that the website is quite laggy, it isnt a particularly demanding site so i dont see why it's being so laggy, im sure you can figure something out to get it working.

I experienced a little bit of lagginess but it wasn't really annoying. I was thinking it was my computer but if you have a nice computer then I'm not sure if that would be the problem.

I think they should do something with that header picture to turn it into an awesome wallpaper.

I noticed a little bit of lag on it too. But it is brand new up, so fine tweaking behind closed doors and curtains may sort it. Didn't bother me though, actually helped me relax and calm down.
I agree that header would make an ungodly awesome wallpaper

I think that they may need to upgrade their host, because thats probably the main reason for the lag, seeing as the old sight was just html and php, this new ones flash and has got lots of animations running at the same time, so it will need a quicker (i cant remember the name) and especially if kaos are planning to host vids on the site

Hmmm, i know its not a problem with me comp, because if i can watch hi-def videos streaming from the internet, and visit much more demanding sites i see no reason why i shud experience any lag from a website that has a couple of animations running

So is the new site going to be using a lot of flash? That can be done well, but sometimes its really annoying. Hopefully there will be a non-flash option?

Posted that about 2 weeks ago. Sad to say I was right about the flash part.

Its jerky for me as well. Firefox, up to date. Adblocker disabled for the whole site.

Should seriously get rid of the giant pic.
Maybe make that the homepage, but as soon as you click a section it replaces the header with the one used here for the forums.

I like the pic too...the smaller header is the same exact one! Its just cut down and doesn't take up 4/5 of the page!

I'm sorry but having to scroll down to see anything is NEVER good. No matter how nice looking the pic is.

And I never said that was what was making it laggy...two completely separate comments.

Only about 3/4 of the screen... come on now.

the webpage coding has some javascript and flash so that could be causing the lag and not the internet connection speed or the computer.

I like the idea. Its a good start. The main banner could be a little smaller. I favor smaller font/pages with less bling.

I remember when Java first started becoming main stream on the internet and at the time really bogged things down with my 50mhz and 16 megs of ram lol...

the lag is quite to hold the mood at home, but i am visiting the forums also on my school with my laptop, which have like 600 connections to 1 port, but that's happening on the main website, not that much on the forums though..
