When fighting monster what kind of thing will it be?

* Hordes of weak monsters, that mob.

* Average monster that takes about 5-10 seconds to kill

I am really more inclined to the first option, because it is more involving for the player (which is what you guys want i believe) and it is just so much more fun instead of your usual,

"Ou you hit me" Exclaimed zombie
"ou you hit me" Exclaimed amz181

And the satisfaction you get from pulling off an area spell is euphoric, its is so good, and you have to use a form of stratedgy so as not to get yourself pinned down.

The second option i find really annoying unless new armours and stuff are frequently available. What many people refer to as "grinding" is rubbish, there is no satisfaction once you kill an enemy (when kill a horde there is) and usually there are not enough armours and weps along the way to keep you going on.

Well you know my opinion, but what are your thoughts? And have the devs decided on what they're gonna do?

I like the first option more, as there really is some satisfaction from killing a bunch of mobs, either all at once or just plowing through them. Killing off an average difficulty mob is only so exciting, and would only pertain to those starting out in the game. For example, in Priston Tale (it's just an example >_>) most mobs have enough health to keep whacking you until it's buddies respawn, and even then it'll still be alive.

I agree some, but it could be fun to mix in single hard monsters here and there. Not your normal "Oh its a signature and anyone at level can beat him no problem" but instead someone that you would really have to use all your tricks with or have a group. Because the only thing as fun as killing 10 easy guys at once is killing one really hard guy.

obviously, or maybe not so, i should add that in my posts. The hard ones could be demi-bosses that spawn every now and then, there not as populated as the normal mobs but more populated than actual bosses. Also, another really cool addition, is a special sort of monster, its say a little girl, who just mingles with the mob, and in the hectic action you accidently hit her, she calls up a massive mob (maybe higher lvl) and starts flying around shooting fire at you. It would be seriously cool, and it would happen quite regularly, because in games with fast pace3d combat, you often need area spells or skills to stop yourself getting killed, nut if theres that little girl in area, well your in for a fight :D.

Its nice to see that the users here despise the "grind" like me, but is there any officially unnoficial word on what you guys have in mind for the combat?

Well, although it would prevent campers from doing their business, having a demi-boss pop up out of thin air while one is beating its minions with a very painful tool, and begin to gnaw on said person's leg. I mean, having something that players need a party to take down appearing right next to them..

Seriously, I hope there isn't 1 general way of enemy setup.

I go more along the notion of "threat".

A threat may have forms that range from dozens of weak enemies, that may each be unable to damage you, but together pose a serious danger; to a behemoth that will literally rip you apart if he gets a clean hit on you

What makes you think this game will be about taking 100 blows to the head?
It was said in this forum that the gameplay is aimed at something somewhat close to God of War, not the ridiculous "hit me baby" system from World of Warcraft, Lineage II, and seriously most other MMORPG.

You are assuming alot of things, like the way loot is handed to the player, the difficulty of the enemy, the way you fight it.
You're comparing from a point of view that has been pointed wrong in several posts in this forum.

I havent seen any confirmations, and im not assuming alot, im just using the most common occuring system, and using it as an example, sice ive been here, i have not seen anything referring to battle speed and the sorts.

What if these demi-boss mobs actually used skills tactically? I mean, rather than having 12 bajillion hitpoints and a very painful blunt object, it would act as a human would in a situation confronted by a group of people? For example, if there were a few people around said mob, it would perform a PBAoE (point blank area of effect), or if it was being kited the mob would fight back with a ranged attack/skill.

that would be good, few MMO's, infact few games have been able to intergrate strategical monsters, if you could get that, it would be great

Well its not that uncommon for bosses to have unique skills. But yea...the variety of what those skill actually do (Big aoe's or a stun or a wound/poison) is often very similar.
Also, they are usually triggered by something such as when they hit a certain HP. It would be nice if they actually used the skills 1) in reaction to a certain skill or type of skill (could go the elemental direction) or 2) they just use them whenever they can and their skill just has a cooldown.
