OK, seeing as theres three different races theres got to be some sort of politics, but i dont like it how most games just have a watered down version, i love having a proper council with decisions.

Ok let me just lay down a few things first

Alliance= friends can call on for aid (+ Peace)
Peace= dont mind eachother but wont come to aid another
Trade Embargo= Not war but wont allow other faction to trade with them
Cease fire= Temporary peace that could go eaither way (+ Trade embargo)
War= Kill Zem All (+ Trade embargo and Cease fire)

The little plus thing in brackets just means that it inherits all the attributes of the previous standing.

Council
Ok each faction has a council, which will increase or decrease depending on the population of the faction. (you can have more or less but will become harder to pass motions, read on to find o0ut about more)

also each faction can elect a leader of the council who has no real extra power but is recognised as the supreme authority.

Motions
The council has the ability to put up motions which decide about something say...(oo and before i get started with the examples i amz181 am Algar and the other faction is Deva)

Motion: (Peace) to (Deva)
Y (1) N (0) (votes needed 5)

Motion: Elect (amz181) to (councilor)
Y (1) N (0) (Votes needed 3)

votes needed means how many council members need to vote to pass the motion, the more important its is the more votes needed.

Politics
This would open up bagfulls of opportunities, say in the devan city they have lots of items that are only found in deva, i could either stay on good terms with them, and allow them to trade with my nation, or i could put pressure on them and demand that they give me some of the items or i could just wage war on there city, all opening different possibilities. And also if you are at war with a nation you may have a quest that to be completed you need to go into the enemy nation, but because your at war your not allowed, thus, you put pressure on the council and leader, and if your the leader you could be facing mutiny if you dont make the right decisions.

Territory
If im at war with deva, instead of having a designated PVP area, my people will be alowed to kill deva anywhere, except non combat zones, and this ofcourse will anger the deva public putting pressure on their government.
I would also want to take over a deva city that has lots of an item that my nation is always short of, so i would motion it up for

Motion: lay (siege) to (devaland city)
y BLAH BLAH BLAH

and if succesful then i would attack the cities residents, the city becoming a combat zone temporarily, and after say 12 hours the siege automatically ends, and if the devans have more percent of losses than me, then i win the city, if not i leave it, either way the city is then safe from seige for a week.

Ok alot of writing there, but read it all please, if this went forward the game would be so good, the politics would add a whole new world to the game.

So what do you think?

Also on the same note of territories, raiding, and rewards are there any planed pvp ranking system. The game I play now is mainly about massive group pvp where all three races have a 3way fight but the ranking is very broken.

The theory behind it is points determine if your a better player and they count as your respect in the race.
You gain points by killing other players and completing quests and winning wars. You can only take points from players if they have points themselves.

So new guys are expected to have low points while veterans are expected to have high points. If someone with low points kills someone with high points then they will take more points from that player since it seems that they are more skilled. Unfortunately there is no restriction to lvl at all so a high lvl guy with no points killing a low lvl guy with a little points will still take a decent amount.

Basically the points determine your rank in the race but also the amount of points you gain per week in your guild provides benefits for your guild. So the system is way to easy to cheat or drain from certain players to have the most points total or just to gain points the fastest to get status for a week.

Kaos wars doesn't seem to be focused on pvp but if open pvp was planed in game then I think you should consider having lvls play a part in rewards or rankings. Something like battlefield rankings where you can see more stats like k/d ratio and awards would be better. It would also probably be better just to not have a ranking system at all or give a "reward" per each individual duel.

What if you combined the PvP with the Questing side of the game.

Say for example you play a Deva some of your quests would be either against Alg'ar or one of its factions or just against that which is considered ''evil''. Doing more of these quests would raise your reputation with your own faction whilst lowering it against others.

So what if the higher you go the more points a player of race thats fighting against you would get from killing you.

Also say if a player who has a low rep with hardly any points was killed by a player with ALOT of rep, there would hardly any if no points at all.

The points you get from killing an enemy player would help your sides overall battle which would then reward you. (being given better equipment for valiantly slaying your enemies in battle.)

i like the idea of points, if it was obviously smoothened out but in my little idea, it isnt totally open PVP but if you want to take a city then its open pvp if your on war, and war is a risky buisness because im not sure about you but if i had just started the game and i kept on getting killed by the opposition becoz of my stupid leader an councils decision to have war, and i probably would leave that clan for another, so this leaves alot of political possibilities, you have to balance out the importance of the city to be taken and the hapiness of the population. This brings me onto my second stoke of (maybe) genius.

Say if you hate your govenment, then you can change race, but with a price. Depending on the territory of the nation so...

Nation territory share
Deva: 37%
Algar: 23%
Human: 30%

say yu were human and you were going to move to deva, at the cost however of 37% of your stats. This'll stop masss race changing. And to keep the races balanced out in population again depending on the territory share:

when your starting the game, before character customisation, you choose your race

Deva: 37% starting money: 0
Algar: 23% starting money: 2000
Human: 30% starting money: 750

this would level out the races hopefully so it would be quite interesting

I like the idea of open pvp in most of the world but I don't like rankings based off of open pvp. If they had any ideas on territory then it should be a set event where the races will show up for that time to decide the territory.

I like what they had planned for how the economy would work and I like the idea of quests/pvp being together in determining status.

I don't like the point system in open pvp at all tho mainly because it is so easy to cheat it. I'm not sure if they are planning to have certain players as leaders within a faction yet or how it will all work together in pvp but they do need to consider how secure their system is going to be.
