A few ways to make popular games envy Kaos Wars.

1. Endless Gameplay
Take Runescape for example. Cruddy graphics, horrible community, crappy combat system, BUT they have millions of players!. Jagex made Runescape to where you can do almost anything from fishing to thieving. Not to mention the loads of quests... Just think, that's all it takes to get people to play Runescape. No, I don't play Runescape anymore, but I definitely would if it had better graphics and so would tons of other people who don't play it. Another thing about Runescape is that there is no fixed class, you can do anything you want without making another character. The point is, I want a game that doesn't just take getting Lvl 100 and the funs over. I want Kaos Wars to be a never ending game to where you can finish all the quests, be at the highest level, and still have LOADS to accomplish.

2. Excellent PvP
No, I'm not talking about just normal PvP where you get a foot within the opponent and start swinging swords.. I want a game where the PvP system is free. Where you can run around a whole forest jumping, swinging, casting, and rolling while fighting. Maybe even hiding behind trees or rocks. I guess I'm saying that I want a real, action packed, MMORPG. That's a game I would play.

3. Fill In The Holes
Kaos Wars can beat WoW as long as you know how to make the game. Take great games, find their flaws, and fill in their gaps, and make Kaos Wars. Pay attention to the communities, find what everyone hates about the game, and fix it in Kaos Wars. Then, other games would crumble in comparison.

Just my $.02 :P

“This is also one of the reasons why the game doesn't use predefined classes, instead your character is developed by simply doing whatever you wish to be doing and in doing so your characters abilities change to reflect this.”

From "Game Info - Gameplay":
Kaos War is played from a 3rd person perspective, with a 3rd person action controls. Unlike most MMO games Kaos War delivers realtime action allowing the player to direct his weapons or powers in combat.

This does indeed mean pvp and pve combat involves full freedom of movement such as dodging, jumping and even flying incase you're a Deva.

That's awesome. I'm really looking forward to this game.

Wouldn't 1st person fit that sort of play better? Take oblivion... try playing it in 3rd person perspective for awhile. You'll want to poke your eyes out, I guarantee.

Maybe have the option to go to first person? (like almost all MMO's have)

For some games yes, but not if we're talking Oblivion like combat. From what I've heard, that's how I understand combat to be in KW.

Trust me when I say our combat is nothing like oblivion, the 3rd person controls in Oblivion seem completely unfinished and are not fit for combat to top things off. (the 3rd person view in oblivion simply wasn't made for aiming)

The reason you'll need a 3rd person view to do propper melee combat in Kaos War, is because that's the only way you'll be able to anticipate attacks coming from multiple directions and block/counter/dodge accordingly.

When we talk about our realtime action combat we're talking about something that's simply not present in any MMO and not present in many RPG's either. Ofcourse it's hard to describe the way it works without giving away too much at this time, especialy since it's still subject to constant changes and will be for quite a long time. It is, however, safe to say that our melee combat is going to be far more like God of War then it is like Oblivion.

Aww, Deva can fly. I want to fly, but I don't wanna be Deva. :P

But after playing Rakion, I'd much rather prefer 3rd person than 1st person. Especially when I can just stand there quietly and let an enemy "sneak up" to me, so I can strike before they can!
