I just got a new computer :[ It....isn't meant for gaming though only meant for a home pc. With a little upgrading it could be acceptable.
Good to hear ;] 2009 will mos def be enough time for me to save up for ram, hd space, and a slamming graphics card. (I don't even have a mic...) Will this game have integrated mic use?
If so...I will scurry away because I have people phobia :/ Having others hear my voice frightens me some tbh.

I get anxieties going into public places, I feel like everyone is looking at me in disgust judging me every second. I get horrible panic attacks when I have to go up to a cash register and pay for something because it is close contact. Also sitting in a fast food place near someone else's table I get attacks...Just a few examples. I also get attacks when I am using a mic. Im very shy irl, because of my phobias. In a subway I almost faint.

Work with a guy that would get huge panic attacks for no reason at all he started using Ativan and all gone as long as he takes it. Ever try Ativan?

Yeah funny thing is though I didn't have this problem when I met my husband 6 years ago. I was too outgoing O_o you could say. I do not know what caused this to kick in really. Nope, never tried. Would never try any medications. I hate relying on drugs. Not worth it, and they make you numb.

You went to WoW...sad sad sad....Hope you enjoy doing the samething over and over again. The only thing I like doing over and over again doesnt involve a computer.

It's called world of grindcraft for a reason....but at least you can play that and find out what a mmo is NOT about.

I'd have to disagree about that. All I do now is console gaming and I prefer a lot of PC versions of games more than the console ones. If I had the money to get a high-end computer and all the games I'd rather be playing, I would probably almost completely drop console gaming.

And WoW is not that good. It's extremely boring after you kill your first enemy because you realize that that's all you'll be doing for the next year or so of your life.

The reason why I think me and chewy are mostly console gamers is probably because that's what we grew up playing with (Genesis, N64, Playstation) so we are more familiar with a gamepad than a mouse and keyboard. The only PC games I grew up with were the Age of Empires series and the original Tomb Raider. But if a good exclusive PC game comes out, I'll play it (Crysis, Rise of Nations, AoE).

I wouldn't be offended if you were wrong, but aside from growing up playing the NES and Playstation and then finally on to Xbox, I find it cheaper and that it can be just as satisfying. I can't get my parents to go out and spend $1000 on a computer for me for Christmas or my birthday. We don't have that kind of money. Even after the base price there's more to be spent that we don't have.

I am pretty much equally skilled with keyboard and mouse as I am with a 360 controller, but I prefer the controller because it's what I'm used to. I do plan on buying a really nice computer once I get a job (hopefully very soon) and have some money to spend. Then I'll probably get more into the PC side of games. But until I get some money, I'll be sticking with what I got. And even after I get a nice computer, I'll still probably stay caught up with the new console games coming out.

I believe that consol lack the communities that PC games have. Like, Kaos War, lol, not even out and there is a pretty active community.

Halo has an active Spam Community, the clans kinda dissappear when Madden comes out (stupid game).

I like the single player consols, but MMO PC games.

There is though. Those kind of people you're talking about are the jerks of Xbox Live or whatever other online thing. I'm seeing you as the person who would play a few games that end up turning out bad and basing your distaste of the game off of those few games when you haven't had the chance to see what it's really like. There will always be jerks that like to ruin your fun when playing online. You can't do anything about them.

I play a lot of games, I just don't put up with idiots very well, I deal with them at work, I don't need it at home when I am relaxing. And whats with 15 and under kids playing Gears of War, they shouldn't be able to play, but since Xbox Live doesn't care, they are on, all the time, sounding like chipmunks. I wasn't able to play Half Life until I was 17, I couldn't play Halo until I was 16, and I had to play with my mom watching.

Your parents must have been really strict then. Just because you're a certain age doesn't mean you act a certain way. I've played with a lot of different aged people and you get the same stupid remarks out of 30 year olds as you do out of 15 year olds. There's just more young people than there are older ones so you hear less from the older ones and the dumb remarks seem stereotypical of the majority of players. (I don't know if that last sentence made any sense or not.) Most of the people I end up getting matched with are around 20, usually a few years older or younger.

And, like I said plenty of times before, there's always the idiots that you wish wouldn't play.

And you can't stop someone from playing a game that the don't meet the age requirement for. All they have to do is get someone old enough to buy it. You can't reject someone a game just because their 13 year old kid is with them when they buy it. It's kind of obvious it's for the kid but it's their parent buying it, using meaning that they're allowing their kid to play.

I wasn't allowed to play the games because of the gore. My parents said, "When your old enough to watch R rated movies, you can play M rated games."

Now you need a parent to buy the games for you at Gamestop and what not. I was in there and a 5 or 6 year old picked up Gears of War, his mother was like "He sees that with his friends on the street anyways." What kind of attitude is that.

And I don't think he see's, super soldiers, hellspawn running out of the ground trying to kill him everyday, unless thats what they call the cops. :)

I don't think anybody every experiences something like Gears of War in real life. Maybe because it's not possible and I don't think that people go around with shotguns blasting other people apart.

and the now important "Gang Wars" here in Atlanta (we have at least 2 shootings a week)

Just because you didn't see it with your own eyes, doesn't mean you don't feel for the men/women/children that died because a few people were mentally unstable and lost compassion for others.

People do stupid things for some really stupid reasons, "He was in my turf."
Who cares if he was in your turf, he may have gone to see his girlfriend, gone to school, to work.

I have seen people die, I saw the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia blow up while going on a field trip. Its not a good thing to have to urge to kill anyone, for any reason, other than self defense.

There was some guy complaining about being killed while he was fighting a mob, I'm guessing he never played on a PvP server before and they proceeded to exchange a few words and discuss which was the better option.

Dumba#$%^& whining because a lvl 10 beat their level 20, with out ever considering they just suck and start calling for nerfs. I'm about ready to re-roll a PVE server just because chat channels are constantly spamming with stupid stuff like that. It's so bad when you ask a legit question about a quest or something the ones responding to you do /tell so you can see their response and it doesn't get lost in the spam.

I played in a WoW PvP the other day, I got rocked by a lot of level 70's. They don't have it set up so a level 70 can't attack a level 10, and now, I just play the PvE, so I don't have to find my corpse, respawn, and get killed again by the camping PVP people.
