Fun?

Anyone play Warhammer / MechWarrior / Warmachine games (the mini-figure games, not the video games). I think Kaos War would be kick butt Collectible Miniatures Game (CMG).

All those games are so expensive so I never got into any of them. I could see them being quite fun, but I never had the money to put into the hobby.

I play Mechwarrior. The new version. Its not as expensive as the others, but still costs a bit if you want a good collection (I spent $50, and have 4 of the some freaking mechs, lame) but if you play in the official league, they send you a random package for every 3 - 7 rounds (depending on the number of players in your area) and can have a ubar rare (the Dropship) piece. (The Dropship still costs $70.00 (Thats about 7 booster packs)).

I am now, trying to build a 12' x 12' board (one of the largest) for a 5 vs 5 friendly tourny.

I have about 1500 Magic: The Gathering cards. I need to sell them somehow. I'm not too sure what all I can get for them though. If I do sell them, I'd sell them all for one price. The problem is that I don't know where that price would be.

Not all Magic cards are worthless. A lot of mine probably are, but that's why I'd sell them all in one big bundle. And his avatar is showing up for me.

The "geek store" in which I go to (almost dailey, because it rockxzorz your boxerz) will take some of the cards off your hands (cards someone needs) or you could try E-Bay, and there are a few other sites to sell just Magic Cards.

We play Magic The Gathering, WoW TCG, and a few other CG's. Last night there were about 9 Magic TG people playing (some have 2 or 3 cases of cards (like suit cases)).

The trick is finding someone stupid enough to pay 500 for it.

So let's see, the lotus and moxes are probably the most "valuable" cards as they were only printed in the alpha and beta version, and didnt make it into the 3rd edition(first official edition).....

But those cards were quickly banned from play so meant nothing in official tournaments. Aside from those, most of the other rare cards were actually reproduced in subsequent expansions, such as the icy manipulator.

having had Moxes and a lotus, and trying at a total of 10 card shops Nashville, Lousiville, and St' Louis, I can pretty well tell you....thier not worth much....cause regardless of what Wizard or Duelist says they are worth, they are actually only worth what you can get someone to pay for them. I did get 100 for the lotus and 50 each for the moxes and that was 10 years now I suppose...But I also watched my original elder dragons, whirling dervish, rabid wombat, killer bees, and original dual lands go worthless over night with the release of homelands(an expansion of nothing but formally rare cards, which took the originals to 1/10 thier former vaule.)

Also, moxes and lotus...a total of 6 cards out how many MtG cards total that have any actual value to them....not exactly a "collectible" trading card game I would say.

A Black Lotus can sell for $500, but you need some die-hard collectors, most I seen someone pay for a lotus was on e-bay for $275.

Well, I've missed the last 2 pages of posts in this thread because I've been gone, but I read over them. No I don't have a Black Lotus. I would've been too young, I'm only 15 now. Those alpha and beta cards wouldn't have come so easily when I started playing. I'm not even sure how far back my earlier cards go to. I do have some pretty old ones though.

And hanstin Yu-Gi-Oh was gay; I played for a little and I was like screw this and I traded my Yu-Gi-Oh cards for some Magic cards.

Taking into consideration my dislike for MtG......
Atog and ornithopter were the two most worthless cards I could remember.

Besides, most of you wouldnt know my favorite cards anymore as they have long been out of rotation. Just as I didnt recognize a single one of your cards listed.

My fav decks from back in the day.
Mill stone deck, (I would never damage you, but if I locked, you would run out of cards)

I'll have to see if I ever paid the 35 bucks for a black lotus can't remember lol...

All I know for sure is my newest card I have is about 8 years old give or take a year. I'll have to dig them all out. I think I have around 2000 or so mixed in with all my baseball cards.

Only one I can remember (actually 2) that I was happy to get was some knight card or something I remember it was a black with skeletons on it, have to see if I can find them.
