The flythrough showed terrain that was considerably better than Guildwars at their comparable stage of development. I'm not sure that the shots showed discernable environmental character the way that zones in WoW do.

The combat animation was well done.

Glad you liked the footage Moloch, though I should add that the paper on the wall shown in the first episode is a sheet damon has kept around for motivation for over a year now. That said, the release date we are currently thinking about internaly, is way beyond the "december 2008" shown on that sheet...

Which isn't suprising if you concider the fact that most MMO's take 4+ years of funding to develop and we have been developing without a penny to spare for about a year so far. We've still got a long way to go!

Heey,

just saw the movie, and i realy like it,.
if some1 talks about his/hers life, it realy touches me.
Just like this story.
and i know its not impossible to beat World of warcraft,
cause i dont even like the game!.
so does a many other gamers/nongamers i think.
The key is to atract the nongamers to this game too, so that you get more players then World of warcraft, or any game at the moment at the market.

Thanks for your supportive comments they are very much appreciated by everyone here :).

Although of course beating World of Warcraft is something that everyone wants to do and should be striving to do, we believe this game will provide players with a unique and refreshing experience which is different and an improvement on stereotypical MMO's.

That was actual realtime footage, though not of the game itself, but of one of our very early technology prototypes. (Which, for comparison purposes, is probably 3-4 years behind our current technology in development) So if you liked that footage, you're going to love what we'll be showing later... ;D

I have a question as well. Is the human race going to have something special that the other races don't have? because I can already predict everybody wanting to be a demon or an angel, and I'll be the only gunslinging human in the entire faction.

Human characters though not capable of flying short distances like the Deva, nor having a certain ability the Al'gar have ::), are the only race that uses rather impressive ranged weapons! (Deva and Al'gar use magic)
