will there be anything like a castle siege for clans?
mayb there can be like a island,with a instance and only the clan who owns it can go in or mayb a small map for faster leveling. the island need not be just one whole thing,it can be small parts of it and when theres a siege mayb some other clans will take over one of the part of the island.
example: there are 5 parts of the island (one of thm is the "capital")
clan X owns all of them but during a siege,clan Y takes over one of the parts and claim it as theirs,its like slowly taking over parts of the world...like a war and involves alot of strategy to control all the 5 parts,u need to deploy ur clan members around the 5 parts to defend it and if one of it is heavily attack either they can retreat to the capital or ask members from other parts to help making the other part weaker and vulnerable to attacks.

Read the FAQ!

As a longtime player of Daoc, a game without territory control and sieging would be a huge letdown for me. Combined with what I learned from daoc and the various problems and downfalls it's sieging system had, I plan on making one that's marginally better (I say marginally, because I still really loved sieging, but poor poor melee classes...)

oohhh...just read finished the FAQ,sounds promising...building houses/def etc.
daoc=dark age of camelot?
never played that game before but i heard alot about it

Yes that would be Dark Agr of Camelot.
And it pretty much set the bar for the type of gaming you are speaking about, commonly referred to as RvR (Realm vs Realm).

There are two others in developement right now that will be out before Kaos that are going to have similiar gaming as well. Age of Conan, and Warhammer (being made by the same people that made DAoC.)

I dont want to sound overbearing, but your idea is actually very limited in what is already out there in the gaming world.

Think along the lines this instead. Not only do you have a city you can defend, but also, when your crafters go out, they need to bring along defenders, becuase the areas of resources are able to be controlled as well. Maybe a mine entrance, that can be guarded and fought over.

I know im bumping an old post and yes ive read the FAQ but will the siqie system be like the one in ShadowBane?
