I'm sure that Kaos War is going to be unique in a lot of ways and its own game, but what is the gameplay going to feel like? What game will it be close to in the overall feel of playing?

Imagine playing Gears of War or Halo. Now imagine being able to use God of War melee abilities. Now imagine having access to spell casting. Then imagine being thrown into a war.
That's probably as simple as I can put it.

Hmm, I've never played God of War, but I've heard it's great and there's gonna be another soon. All the other aspects you mentioned sound pretty good seems how I'm addicted to Gears of War now. :) It's such a great game. And war, ironicaly, is also a good thing.

Humans love war, but we hate participating in a real one. Thats what games are for, and hopefully one day video games will be a nice substitute for real soldiers.
First Army to 10,000,000,000 points wins!!!!!!

No, If you wanted to do it right. It would be professional gamers as soldiers. The game would have to be as real as possible, so once your player died in the game, your account would be filed as KIA/MIA/POW depending on the condition. The game would also have to be LAN without Internet, just PC's to PC's. 1000 vs 1000, that would be sweet.
10,000,000,000 / 1,000 = 10,000,000 Kill Per Person, yay baby, bring out the snipers.

I doubt it. It's a bit too unrealistic.

Hey Hey Hey,
They had 859GB transfer for France to California in under 17Mins.
Thats 6.63GB per Second. Internet2 for research centers and universities. You telling me that a Lan with that connection couldn't hold? Lans of 100 Hold with a T1 (1.5MBps Down) 50vs50.
So a 6.63 should have the potential for easily holding 10,000 people.
They have the OC-256 at 13.3GBps. Thats freaking fast.
HELLO OPTICAL FIBERS ANYONE!!!!!!

It can be done, easily, and running fiber optics you can hit all the clients pretty quick. Would just take alot of switches is all....Largest switches I have seen is 128 port switches. That was 7 years ago, so probably 512 port switches by now.

Ya, but as a company you could probably get a 1000+ switchboard no problem. Fiber Optics are the future.
The future is Wi-Fi Broadband. It's already been tested at significantly faster speeds, and it's easier to obtain. That's just the problem, TOO easy to obtain ;P. I actually talked to Damon about this the other day. I'm reasonably sure the reason Wi-Fi Broadband hasn't been released (Other than in Mountain View by Google just down the road), is because they can't figure out how to make people pay for it ;)
Fiber Optics is far too expensive comparatively. Nevermind the fact that most buildings still aren't even outfitted with Coax, nevermind running Fiber Optics cables throughout the nation. If the Phone Companies can't fix their terrible Copper wiring that's going bad, I can't imagine the Internet Providers will have an easier time with FO cables.
Of course, I know very little about FO, maybe some advances have been made.

I just can't wait until I am 40 years old, and have kids.
"Dad, the internet is only running at 100GBps, we need to upgrade."
"Dad, why can't I get the new 100GB Graphics Card, its only $2,000, the Holoprojector would be so much better"
"Dad, why can't I get a processor that runs at 750Ghz"
"Dad, why doesn't the Hologram Consol work properly"
"Dad, the Front Bus on that is only 1,600,000,000 thats kinda old."
My Reply
"Maybe you would like to see some of the stuff I used when I was growing up." (Pull out a 1.0Ghz Intel, 128MB RAM, some crapy 2D games, Halo, Half Life)

Even with FO or WI-FI (and being a tech, I own nothing wireless, yeah, I am one of those paranoid freaks) the issue is not the lines....it's the relay switching that has to take place. And no one is close to coming up with a way to do that effectively and economically.
