With the release of NWN2, i got to thinking again about a way for players to submit content into the world of an MMO.
With a toolkit like the NWN toolset, it would be possible for players to add much content to the world creating a never ending playfield.
Now, I know that there is whole issue of quality. But as a developer, you get to pick and choose what gets added. You would have a database of mods submitted, maybe catergorize them by landscape.
Building a desert area, check out those mods with desert land themes. You could build a drill down system for you guys to narrow what you are looking for to add to the world. It would basically be you guys seperating the chaff from the wheat.
I am pretty sure this couldnt happen with Kaos Wars the way I envision. But is there anything planned or wanted to all for players to contribue to the world and alter it?

Yes. With those type of construction sets there is the problem of security. In the future. Well I have my own ideas and feelings on online worlds that I will share someday. Sorry this is cryptic but let me say that we have cool ways for you to change the world as a player. More soon on that. Another big reveal for us.

I would like to see us being able to actually build our factions city as the game progresses. Just enough to get us started, almost a Civilization type thing...
the city starts out with a basic building for making items(the Factorum) and it is up to the players to buy pre-placed plots and then construct the city as they go.
Building of outpost and forts as well in the outlieing areas.
And of course being able to destroy said forts and cities as well for me and my al'gar brothers.

MMORTS? That would be kinda weird. It would be cool though to create a city as a group of players. There would most likely be players that are somehow rich and would buy pointless random things to put up.

This is supposed to be about player created content..... not ST girls. Some reason I can't figure out what the ST stands for. Do I even want to know? Oh well, tell me anyway.

As long as Chewy has a 10x Multiplier to build stuff (cost him 10x more) Thats going to be fun. Can people draw/model buildings and submit them?

It would probably be hard to get the quality that they're looking for, unless they add some of their own touches to the work.

Yeah...they stink...Its called Savage. If you want to see how bad it worked out, try that game.
I mean its not a terribly made game, but bad enough to be good for about a week and suck afterwards. Does that make any sense. lol
Nah, if you want to take a look at an awesome game from the MMORTS genre, check out www.shatteredgalaxy.com
Still one of my favorite games of all time.

I Like it Will. That's alittle different than Savage, because I was going for something more 3rd person perspective taking into account KW will be from that perspective as well.
I know theres a bunch of really good MMORTS's out there.. know what I mean
check (I think) www.projectvisitor.com
First Person Shooter + MMO + RTS. Smallish community now, it used to be known as 10-six. I absolutely love that game. Building bases, controlling units, FPS aspects, and wealth/item acquisition. Amazing game, I just wish they had never been ousted from heat.net

That looks cool, looks like Tron as an mmo and tanks instead of bikes. Looks like it would be fun. :)
