Just wanted to here what other people had in mind to attract contributions to Kaos War.

These are just some ideas.

1. Charge a $100 6-Month subscribtion to gain access to "behind the scenes" footage, and artwork that hasn't been publicly released. And if you got this you wouldn't be allowed to share it with anyone, must sign a contract for legal purposes.

2. Charge $10 - $20 for the Alpha/Beta Testers to test the game. 1000 x $10 = $10,000. Not bad. But the upside is that they get the game and their first year (or however long) subscrition free, or become a Game Master. Not a bad perk.

3. Start early Game Master tutorial(s) for people interested in the game and have the tutorials on the economy, battle system, weapons, trade, partying, etc, on the website ready for download. Sell each episode for $5 or bundle them for $50 or whatever, however many episodes that is, take 15% off the total amount of shows, so if it was 20 episodes charge $80 - $85 instead of $100. Upside, you have GM's up to date with what you guys know.

4. Kaos War Challenge (favorite idea): Every MMO seems to have a character that the people fly to, so why not host a challenge on the website for people to submit a picture + profile to become the Kaos War Idol/Representative.

just some ideas.

1) not sure it would be a big attractor
2) plenty of people would do this. (I personally am against paying to test a game, conflict of interest)
3) problaby not a good idea as far as game masters being garnered from the well to do...money doenst equate compentency.
4) How does that raise money for the devs?

My bad, lol, For an entry (photo) you charge $1. Everyone wants there 15 minutes of fame.

Understood money doesn't mean everything, but its an idea to raise money for the guys. GM's in most games arn't always on, Final Fantasy is a good example, they don't have enough GM's to keep up with everyone so the game looses purpose because you can't get help from anyone. So why not have a few GM's already prepared other than the game Devs. I wouldn't mind learning about the game even if I had to pay for it. Learning is expensive, look at college, you want a nice job, you lay down $20,000 for an "ok" job. $40,000 for a "well off" job, and $60,000+ for a "a little better than well off" job.

Well I have seen this before but how about a raffle for a prize? Like a free game box with special items inside and all you have to do is get people to buy a $1 ticket and then whoever wins gets the special box with items.
