He was one of the bravest (craziest) men alive. But he taught us so much about animals and how to love them and that they should be protected.

I love watching his shows on Animal Planet.

May he rest in peace.

"Crickey!" <--- I'm gonna miss that. :(

I live about 2 hours from his zoo. He poured a hell of a lot of his cash back into the zoo and conservation. He still drove around a 10 year old car and owned an average house.

Like him or loathe him, he was passionate about his work.

RIP mate.

I will miss him greatly. He was one of the main inspirations for many people to get involved with zoology and such, one of the people I looked up to a lot growing up.

I can't believe he's gone :(, and of all things by a Stingray, which rarely kills anyone. I give my best wishes to his wife and kids and hope they pull through this ok.

its a shame that he died, because he had so much knowledge to give us and to show the behavior of animals

RIP Stevie :'(

I was reading about that and then I logged into the forums and it was the newest topic. I wanted to share the news.... :(

Anyway, I can't believe it was a stingray, of all things that got him.

RIP :'(

Hopefully his son follows in his father's foot steps and becomes a great inspiration as well. Very few individuals are so openly supportive of natural habitats and fight so hard to maintain ecosystems for animals in danger.

Rest In Peice Steve Irwin :'(

I don't think that video is how I would want to remember Steve Irwin, but that's just me.
