Not everybody. Unfortunately I don't believe myself intelligent enough to pursue programming.
BTW. Welcome back! :)

I for one encourage people to get into programming. Regardless of what you hear from financial analysts, becoming a C++ programmer has massive benifits these days in the game industry. Grab yourself a book on DirectX and Open GL and cram all that crap into your head. You'll thank me when you're getting mad loot working on a title for a next gen, soon to be current gen, title. LOTS of money involved. Aside from that... theres no feeling comparable to creating a game.

Just to let you know. I recently looked into programming because my dad actually does it for a living. So I decided to add a few programming courses to my class schedule at school, and I'm going to do my best and see how things go. ;D

Well school is a good start, but the best teacher is experience. Try getting a hold of a free compiler online. Microsoft offers an express version of their visual studio C++ software. Other companies, such as Borland, do as well. If you want to get into Linux development, most Linux versions come with an compiler as well.
If you specifically want to get into game development, bookmark this page: www.gamedev.net
