Chat System? :P What is it goin to be?

Is it goin to be like World of Warcraft's ? WOW = very nice chat system XD you could even join a channel and put item links in there... I wish there was an MMORPG that you can run IE or Mozilla in the game XD or even iRC Channels or there own teamspeak program.

I've already designed our chat system and let me tell you... you couldnt want more from our chat system. Ive included every useful feature I could possibly think of into our chat system to make conversation with fellow group mates, guild mates, and everyday folk as easy and functional as possible. I've also added some features that WoW doesnt include, but thats for another day. :-p

What'd rule is if there was VoIP integrated into it for your party.

But that would probably use a lot of bandwidth and a crapload of different equipment.

Well no details can be released as we are still in some discussions with other parties that pertain to the use of voice communication in Kaoswar.

I personally am not interested in having anyone hear me stutter, somehow I get the impression it would suck for others trying to listen to me take longer than the average person make a statement while trying to keep alive.
AS for myself, typing out messages will be just fine.

If and when we add voice over IP for Kaos War you won?t be required to participate when joining your group. So typing will be a communication of choice. I have experienced VOIP in-game before. It defiantly enhances the grouping experience. In KW you must make decisions about strategy quicker then most games so having quick communication your fingertips even for a pickup group is a great boon.

EQ2 has an in-game browser... but it works shaky at best, lacks features, loads slowly, and it's not accessable unless you enter a command into the chat window. Oh, and cut back on the excessive use of "XD" ;D
