I just got done viewing the 4 episodes of "Creating Kaos" at games.net and thus made a kaoswar.com account. I gotta say im really impressed with the raw dedication to the project you all have. I also want to thanks you guys for bringing a sense of humanity to the whole process. Its all to often that game companies seem like a souless machine. For example, a major problem i have with WoW is the horrible lack of BLUE responses on the forums. And the ones that are there are robotic and they always seem to shy away from the actual question. Its really discouraging when your paying the monthly fee only to get ignored or have a serious question or concern get avoided by the suits. But kaos is very different, you guys respond honestly and often. And you even... have a sense of humor! OMG! haha. And im very confident that humanity wont get lost in the translation to major market success. Im also very excited to hear about the combat system, and how it will be real time. Im so sick of all other MMORPGs where you run in and fight only to stand around while this assembly line of damage numbers tick by. Fighting should be about quick reflexes and human skill... not math and precentages. (if that was the case Einstein would kick all our asses). I also noticed Aion and how it ripped you guys off, rest easy I love the angel and demons concept but i wont fall into Aions trap, KaosWar ftw. In all honesty you know what its gonna be, guildwars with wings. (Truly groundbreaking, haha). Well this was mainly a post to tell all you that I, and im sure everyone else; thanks you for your hard work and passion. And also for throwing a wrench into the souless machine. I'll post any ideas for Kaos War once they come to me, cause i know you guys will ACTUALLY READ AND RESPOND to them.

Thanks for the responses guys, and keep the "Creating Kaos" episodes coming. I feel for you guys and this game, it's bound for greatness. And a main bonus to keeping the humanity involved is having the most loyal fanbase of ANY mmoprg out there, and i'll be one of em.

Just adding another blue! Thanks for the support, I'm glad you joined the legion. These guys certainly do know humility. Who else would show their Christmas eggnog in July? ;D

Oh damn! It's a WATERFALLL!!!!

In all seriousness, we appreciate your dedication to us just as much, if not more so, than you appreciate our dedication to Kaos War. This game is nothing without people to play it and we are nothing if no one wants to play it. What drives us further into this awesome madness is the relentless pursuit of a game that IS what we want, rather than PARTIALLY what we want. I'm sure that I speak for the entire team when I say this game is a labor of love, not of greed nor vanity.

To all you Legionaires out there, we wish that the coming months move swiftly by so that you may finally sit down in your coveted throne of gaming with a mint copy of Kaos War spinning in your optical drives, gazing in wonderment upon your monitor, much like a young child at the tree the night before Christmas.

Just so you know, Aion was in the making since like 2003 I believe. Don't see how Kaoswar got ripped off by the angel/demon concept since Aion was started before.

The Cry engine alone was still being developed in 2003, so it is highly unlikely that Aion itself was also, since it uses Cry engine. I would put that project start date around June/July of 05. You do realize this is their first in-house title since Lineage? Yeah, there is a reason why.

Other than people thinking we are just making this up with no proof (why would we?), there are really no hard feelings for the actions NCSoft took. The game industry is harsh, this is the reason SRI exists, to break through the current barrier. We continue down our path and they choose their own. We have been going for over a year now with no funding and we have come a long way.

Since the day I learned of the existence of Aion, I actually look forward to trying it out. Why? Because they are using the Cry engine, and having modded in the Cry engine community myself, I wonder how on earth they are going to pull off an MMO with Cry, without a major overhaul to the engine and netcode. Early on we had plans of using the Cry engine, but after vast contemplation we decided to pursue the goal of building our own engine from scratch. Just this past week I have seen our proprietary engine up and running.

Anyhow, there you have it.

Ya it's like SOE just got the Unreal engine 3 and alot of us were wondering how in the world they plan to implament that with an MMO unless they plan to really hack and slash the engine. This is the community assuming anyway the reason for it was to use on an MMO but could be completely wrong.

Besides having your own engine will not only get the person or company noticed but in the long run I would assume would be alot easier to use sense you all created it in the first place.

Lately you guys seem to really be clipping along quite fast I didn't expect you guys to get as far as you have already good job to all.

True that! That game seems like another basic mmo with "flight battles". They say they are making a "new type" of mmo but i think they are just looking towards the $$ ($15 a month). NC soft might do to that what they did to Tabula Rasa and end up closing the servers down.
