Greetings,

I haven't seen any post about this yet so here goes,

Just wondering how the combat text will flow in the game such as damage/healing done in which it would be located in, maybe in the chat bar like in lineage 2 (which is kind of annoying) or like in WoW it has a tab for the combat text also flows above your target which is your damage/healing done(which is a little better). I like being able to edit your combat text such as what moves you want to appear dodge/parry/block...etc also the flow speed of it so it's not covering your whole monitor screen which you won't even be able to see your character.

All I got for now, ttyl

I must say that AoC does a good job with the combat log portion on what is displayed on your combat tab, you have a list of probably 50 different things you have posted in the combast log. They also have numbers over your head and opponents as well for damage and healing.

I'd like to see a player be able to add / delete everything calculated in combat into or out of their log.

I'd also like parser functionality.

And twins ... wait ... nvm ...

Yeah I like to be able to edit your text however you would want too, most games have different mods and such that will do that for you. It would be nice to have them in-game being able to adjust them without having to go online to install the mod.

I agree with that not having to download text mods and such. It takes some time to find the mod you like and then installing it, figuring where i goes and all that mess. If you could do this in game would be alot easier to have it the way you want it to be.

I prefer no combat text alltogether. Its alot more intuitive and makes the player look at their health bar alot more, and add a more realistic feel to gameplay.

Take Morrowind and Oblivon, they dont need combat text, and theyre both amazing RPGs.

In my opinion combat text looks tacky, and is a little stupid. It does nothing except distract the player from the fight.

Everyone loves to see how much they crit for though. I have no problem with combat text as long as it's easy enough to distinguish what the different colors of text are representing. I think it should be customizable as well for size, placement, which damage is shown, etc.
